I just did a "Google search" on history of "kings crown" and one of the first threads I come across is one that I started here so what do I do. .......?

I come on this site and start poking around. Am I wrong or are all these forums pretty much dead? What happened? Did poker die?

I'm actually thinking about making another set. Is anyone still making custom clay poker chips?

lol, yeah... ilyu2 has been playing in tournaments & still enjoys online p*s for play money. i been thinking about expanding my ceramics but when i get started, i just want to do a whole new set

seems like these days you go through a broker to get ASMs & that's about what there is ~always been my favorite anyway. well, you could do labels on china clays?

Still love my chips! Playing poker is okay, but im more into collecting sets of chips than playing poker. Im just a lurker here, but mainly post on PCF. More lively over there. :)

For clay chips, try Classic Poker Chips. They are a rebranded ASM. Paulson pulled out of the home market completely, so nothing is available from them, and they bought out and closed BCC a few years ago. So, CPC is the only game in town for custom clays.

For ceramics, there are any number of vendors (PGI, GameOn Chip Company, Old West, ABC, etc). And for labels for china clays, there's PGI and Gear Labels.

There were site issues here a while ago, and a number of users moved to another forum. But some of us still frequent both.

Definitely check out classicpokerchips.com. They've been doing some amazing things under the leadership of David Spragg -- more colors, a large number of insert (spot) choices, and outstanding customer service. It's an exciting time in custom chip land.

Poker -- I've been playing in a weekly game for a few years now, and I host monthly. We play lots of mixed games, many of which are Omaha variants but there are also stud and draw games. It's such a shock when we add Hold'em to the mix, being dealt only two cards.

As for chips -- I have two custom cash sets, two casino cash sets, a Dunes china clay tournament set, among others. I buy, sell, buy, sell, buy -- lather, rinse, and repeat.

I play 90 sessions a year of home poker. I host 40 of them.

No custom chips but I do have 10+ vintage casino sets that get on the felt about once a quarter each.

I am back on sea duty, so I don't get to play much, but I do still play and still love chips!

Play maybe once a month. For all intents and purposes never host but plan on changing that in the next year or so.

I'm in the "don't play much, but like collecting chips" camp. I have two Paulson casino cash sets, two tournament sets (one Paulson WTHC, and one BCC casino) a Bud Jones tournament set in the works, a TRK cash set, and a metric ton of other odds and ends.

I've been stationed overseas for years now, so it makes it hard to find a regular poker group. I still love playing and my chips. I recently caught a slight case of the old fever and just finished putting together a cash set of Paulson Garden City California card room chips I plan to play my cash games with.

love the game. Love the chips. In Southeast Michigan we have at least 4 hosts within about 30 minutes or so. I got my first custom sunset cash set from cpc in JAN. and have paid/ordered my first custom tourney set. Plus I own a set of Samurai Palace cash sets that are just amazing.

Still play home game every week. I alternate between the to custom sets I made several years ago and even added onto one set because our game grew beyond the $1/2 stakes it was originally designed for.

Only issue I have with the decline in overall home game era is trying to get replacement parts for my shuffler. I won't name the shuffler I have but if the company is still exists it's run just as badly as it ever was. I've made multiple attempts to contact them over the last 18 months and have never had a single response.

I lurk every now and then but don't post a whole lot. When I was putting my set together I was posting like nuts. No $$ for a another set, so it's like going grocery shopping while hungry and broke. :)
