@snake: German CT meeting? Where do I find more info on that topic?

Thanks a lot, everyone, I appreciate your comments a lot :)

The plaques were really, really pricey. I am still asking myself if I have gone insane spending that much money on 50 plaques. The more you order, the cheaper each plaque gets. For ordering 100 plaques, I would have had to spend only 1/4 more, for example.

These are the base prices. 1 Euro is about USD 1.40 at the moment.

As much as I like the Matsui plaques and how everyone raves about them, they don't even come close to ones made by Abiatti! After seeing yours and the Shanghai Club plaques made by Spike Woo, I know which way I will be going when comes time for me to get plaques made...even if they are 2x the cost (which I am guessing is close :yell:) it's hard to argue that the quality difference isn't worth it.:stunned:

It's an idea crystallized a week ago in meatboy's thread about his new (self-) hotstamped ASM set.

    Looking for ~ 8 players.
My suggestion is, that each player can bring his 1-2 favorite sets (sole exception: DrJohn 10-20 sets :cigar::wink:) to show each other.
When a nice round is completed we've to choose a reasonable meeting place.
If you have any thoughts, just shoot me a pm.

@snake - count me in, especially if we could meet in Berlin. :)

@spike_woo - your set got the idea going, I love your plaques. I bought 50 because I really don't need 100, and it saved me at least a little money. Abbiati sent me some samples beforehand, and one of your plaques was included as well (with a hole drilled in it, though).

my custom plaque was sent as a sample plaque? lol i am so proud of myself hahaha. i was trying to save money when i was ordering the plaques. finally i deceided to cut the size of the plaque and limited the colour into 2 not 3. lunette can not be missing for sure. lace filament is also a must have element as well. the only thing i can cut off is the size. so i made the smaller size than yours(should just wait till i save more money lol)
you made your denom 500 is that also because seeing my plaque and thinking 500 is good for any set u have? the reason i decided using 500 instead of 5000 is because in my home game $50 buyin 500 worth chips and my most sets highest denom is 500 and i dont want to spend too much on oversized chips which over 100 are normally very expensive and hard to get.

I made a 500 plaque because the chips I already had were 1, 5, 25, and 100, so 500 seemed to be the logical choice for a fifth denomination.

I agree, a lunette, and lace filament, are a must. These were the reasons I ordered from Abbiati, and not some other company. :)

Wow! sorry for the late response but I'm sure you are not going to hear anything different from me than what has already been said. Absolutely Outstanding!!! Congrats sir.

BTW, my math is really bad. Is it safe to say that when all is said and done one should expect to spend about $25 USD / plaque to have something similar to yours? That would be the final price tag after shipping and everying. Thanks

    @kk405, to answer your question:

Abbiati plaques are in the $19-$23 range
Matsui are in the $16-$18 range

for both of these a minimum of 100 is required, so they'll easily put you over $1k plus.

MSK plaques are cheaper and the way to go for some, since no minimum is required.
