Every poker game is a well protected vault, guarded by overconfident players armed with cards. But no security is air tight. Case the joint.
Spot the habits of the guards. Analyze every play, memorize every weakness. They think their money is untouchable. Prove them wrong.

    National Reserve

Gotta send my props to Felt Lizard for setting the mood with the prologue!! RESPECT!
These chips are absolutely gorgeous. Inspired by details in the 1953 $500 US Federal Reserve Note they compliment those piles of cash at the final table perfectly.

    Chip Details
    --------------------------------
Finish : Not sure what it's called. It's not absolutely smooth ... but it doesn't have a chalk board feel to it either.

Manufacturer : Definitely ABC. I would have to be a REAL jerk to post someone else product in Gene's forum!! Regardless, ABC Ceramics are absolutely stunning to look at and to feel. The graphics and colors are as sharp, if not sharper than any other ceramics I have seen (yes ... I have seen Chipcos).

    Weight : 10gm

    Diameter : 39mm
    Sample sets ...
    ------------------------------------
Sample sets are NOW available for the "National Reserve". The FIRST 25 sample sets sold will consist of 15 chips, each with the flourish "faux mold", although a house mold option IS also available.

Pricing is as follows for each sample set ordered. These prices include shipping and the PayPal fees.

    Domestic - $22.00
    Canada - $25.00
    Other Int'l - $30.00
    SHIPPING
    ------------------------------------
As far as shipping costs go ... the Group Buy shipping portion (the cost to ship it to me) will split out to evenly per person based upon the number of participants.

The cost to ship to each individual order from my place to the participant will be the responsibility of the individual participant.

    Customizable Features Include ...
    ------------------------------------
    1. House Mold
    2. Currency symbol (left and right of the denomination and background) ... may be $ (USD), £ (British Pound), ¥ (Yen), or € (Euro). - Photos below show the USD $.
    3. The text "National Reserve" can be modified to say whatever you like.
    4. Your choice of what denominations go with what colors.
    5. Personalized chip and edge colors ARE an option but this time will require the artwork fee of $35.

    Progress :
    ------------------------------------
Feb 3, 2009 : Because of the job hunt the time frames are slipping a little: it is NOT CANCELLED however. I have submitted the final artwork for both The Jubilee and the National Reserve to Gene and the sample sets are being printed up now. I have updated the images below with the mock ups of the final designs.

Feb 16, 2009 : Sample Sets are readily available and begin shipping. Orders for complete sets will be taken. Personalization IS available.

March 31, 2009 : Tentatively - Last week to place orders. We will spend the next week completing personalization requests and confirming artwork.

April 7, 2009 : Tentative - Orders will be submitted to ABC for manufacturing.

April 28, 2009 : Tentative - I am allowing approximately 3 weeks for manufacturing and delivery to me. I will then take about a week to take photographs and and repackage orders.

    PRICING
    ------------------------------------
    NON-ALIGNED EDGES
    1000-2499 $ .70
    2500+ $ .68

    ALIGNED EDGES

That's one of the hottest 5s I've ever seen, though the 1000 is pretty great too. The pron is far too wide though. Kind of hard to look at.

Those are pretty sweet. I might be interested in abount 300 if the price is right. What is the cost of these bad boys!

really nice designs. how much will they be, and who's making em? Are they some kind of hybrid? It looks like there are some recessed areas.

    Hi Gary....

I think the chip bug has hit me again. I just finished getting my PCR chips from palm imports so I'll probably be interested in this.

Forgive me for having to ask some basic questions....this is from ABC so I assume that these are ceramics. Am I correct? What kind of texture will the chips have? What's the price per chip estimate and the delivery time estimate?

    Thanks...Mike

I think that is Garyon's symbol. He usually incorporates it into everything he does.

The '5' chip really stands out. In fact the 5, 25, and 100 will make a great T100 tourney set

Re: "National Reserve" Group Buy ...

Lot's of good questions!! I have updated the Original Post (OP) with all of the answers I had, I figure it's probably good to have the information where it's easy to find rather than hunting through a thread looking for the answers. I look forward to getting this going. These chips are my absolute favorite so far!

I have a buddy that is buying a 1000 piece set for our neighborhood games so between the two of us I KNOW that I will get to play with them a LOT!!

I will also work on a dealer button/coaster design in case anyone might be interested.

Well .. gotta run ... got football playoff's and design work to do today!! Busy busy buseeeee!! :)

    Thanks,

Re: "National Reserve" Group Buy ...

The fonts are all customized so custom denomination involve a far amount of work. I HAVE, however spent the better part of the day creating a list of denominations. So hopefully I have covered 99% of the required denoms ... The following 15 denominations will be available on any color chip ...

    .25¢
    1.00
    2.00
    2.50
    5.00
    10.00
    20.00
    25.00
    100.00
    500.00
    1000.00
    2500.00
    5000.00
    10,000.00
    25,000.00

I have submitted these and other design revisions to Gene this evening for review and prototyping. I will post pictures as soon as any are available. Hopefully these turn out the way I am hoping and I can order a bunch of sample sets and get the GB under way!

Changes made include ... the font sizes/scales were made to be more consistent across the chips. I added a gray chip, brightened up the blue and made the Pink "hotter". I added an additional yellow chip configuration with different edgespots so that it would not be too similiar to the orange. I will try to post mock-ups this evening but I REALLY gotta get to bed now ... yawwwnnn

I hope everyone has a great week,

    I love these chips.

I had an idea to make chips that resembled US currency a few months ago, but I never really liked the designs I came up with. Yours are exactly what I wanted. Great job, and I'll be in for a set - if I can scrape the cash together.

I am so excited to see a 10! This means they can be used in the micro cash world as well (which I am in the market for).

    They look great!

    WOW Gary!

    Another great looking set!!!

Do you have any ideas on the cost of a sample set? Any chance of the Grey and / or 2500 chip included in sample set? I am also interested in the cost of a Jubilee sample set (to complete my 'Garyon collection') >grin<

    Thank you,
    Shane
