Here they are! The next generation of Desjgn jumbo index plastic playing cards are called Classic Victorian. Packaged in the nice black, dual-deck, silver-embossed boxes like the Classic Culture line, they are available in Dragon (red) and Gryphon (blue) colors for now and are still printed on a bright white plastic with a nice texture. The design is dedicated to my mother and two friends who passed away in 2010. I hope you like them.

Thank you for all the compliments and sentiments. My mother did see these cards before she passed away suddenly, so I was happy about that. I have posted another image highlighting the faces of the Classic Victorians as requested.

Following are my observations about the new Desjgn, Classic Victorian cards that I received this morning.

Ordering:: I placed my order on Sunday Jan 16. Figuring the MLK national holiday, I expected Jason to respond to the order sometime on Jan 18. Obviously, Jason is a workaholic bent on trying to making his company succeed. He responded to the Ebay order Sunday night, I received the Classic Victorian order this morning.
The slowdown must have been with USPS .
Customer service doesn't get better than this!!!!

The Cards:: OMG!!!! If you don't already know Desjgn cards, then
BUY A COUPLE OF SETUPS TODAY!!!!!

If you have already experienced Desjgn, what are you waiting for(?!!?),
BUY A COUPLE OF SETUPS TODAY!!!!!

These Classic Victorians' are the same high(!!) quality card that Jason is known for. The cards shuffle, flourish, and generally behave as we expect them to. These are extremely fine cards to use. The back design you can see in the OP from Jason, but, those pictures just don't do justice to the cards. The backs are very well designed, if you have poor eyesight and you need a new set of glases, the backs look very nice and classy. If you have good eyesight and/or have good glasses, the intricate work is well displayed.
    Jason, well done !!!!!

The Colors:: Dragon ??, Gryphon ?? To be honest, Jason couldn't just say red and blue. The red is half-way to "security red" compared to other manufacturer's red. The blue is also a bit darker than what oithers use. They are very appealing but don't hurt the eye.

As expected, Jason has hit another home run with the Classic Victorian cards.
These are poker sized, jumbo index with 2 pips in the standard places. They are just right for us aging players, and very good for the younger crowd, too.

One note about these cards. They feel thin when you pick up single cards. This is an illusion, I measured the cards to be .29mm (which is actually on the thicker side, these days).

Thanks Jason, since I opened this setup and played with these cards, I'm going to have to get a few more setups for my collection and my games.

Thank you for the positive review jriffel! I am glad that you order arrived quickly. Yes I am driven to see Desjgns succeed and one of the ways is customer service.

Speaking of which, many are wanting ordering info and I will post those details either tonight or tomorrow. Sorry for the delay!

Let me explain though why I choose not to use just red or blue for colors. I am a fan of mythology, fantasy stuff so I wanted to do something different even from the naming convention of previous releases; thus dragon and gryphon. :)

Could someone take of pic of the larger index next to an older desjgn card with their special index?

Im in for a set up either way just wanted to see.

Jason Im not looking for a CT discount but can you set up a paypal link sorta like Jim(thechiproom)has for us to buy on here? It would save the ebay costs.
