    That's more for security reasons. People trying to pass bogus bills. Good idea for unsuspecting people that can't tell the difference.

    I have to admit, the whole "money laundering" angle doesn't make sense to me. I get it that the casinos need to keep solid records of cash in/out, but what's to keep a criminal from walking into a casino, giving his buddy $500,000, walking out, and saying "I just won this."

    Something else must afoot. I believe phaze's "game security" argument before some wonky money laundering angle.

    If somebody said that they won 500k at a casino in a night, and someone checked on that story, it would be to their benefit if there were a dealer and maybe some other players or bystanders to corroborate it for legitimacy. What would it look like if someone won a half million dollars without anyone noticing?
