    40x 500
    80x 1.000
    80x 5.000
    50x 10.000
    40x 25.000

The jetons are almost 43mm in diameter and slightly thicker than normal chips. They are quite light, weighing only 5 grams. The 10.000 plaques are a bit smaller than a bridge size playing card and weigh 28 grams. The 25.000 plaques are a bit larger than a bridge size playing card and weigh 38 grams.

It was great to play with these. Very different feel from any other poker chips.

Those 10 and 25 plaques would be an excellent addition as a $10 and $25 chip in my cash game set...yeah, that Foxwoods cash set I've yet to put into play.

I could see enjoying the plaques in a game but not the jetons. They seem like they would be a very acquired taste.

but none the less, thanks for the great looking pieces

Jetons are just round plaques...

I loved playing with jetons from the getgo, but they do feel almost alien in nature compared to other (high end) game tokens. They weren't really meant to be used in tall stacks and are certainly more slippy than clay chips, but I get more excited about having these in play than with any other set I own. :cigar:

    Nice set.
You probably already now this but these came from a Belgian casino.
The values are in Belgian francs. Pre-euro era.

    converted to euro's they would be +- : 12.5 - 25 - 125 - 250 - 625

I played there a couple of times but these were there before my time.

I was only half kidding. They are built the same way so yeah they are the same, just different shapes and sizes. So basically you just said that you don't like the small (light) ones or that you don't like the round ones.

Sets like this are rare and expensive, a combination which usually does mean a bit of an acquired taste though. :cigar:

I think I tried to say I would love to play with the plaques but not the 'small round ones' because they would be light and sound a lot different (and tough to shuffle). BUT I would love to try them at least once for the experience.
They kind of remind me of snake skin and the scales.

The casino is a complete shitbox, though. Recently, they've added loads of poker - and their chips are still horrid...

The plaques are still in use for large values (1k€+); and look very much like the ones in this topic.

Sure, I was just busting your chops a bit... Surprisingly the light weight is less of an issue than one coming from ~9g chips (like you and me) might expect. It takes a little while to get used to, then you just forget about the whole thing and enjoy.

Let me know when you're in Finland, you're welcome to come visit. :)
