Hey gang, I was wondering what do you think the best looking casino chip of all time is and why? Is it the mold, color, inlay, manufacturer... I am even curious if you have specific denoms that you can think of? So, instead of saying that the old Sands Casino chips are your favorite... maybe its the Bellagio $500, the MGM Grand LV $1, Palms $5, etc...

I can't say that right now, I am knowledgeable enough to even chime in on what mine are since I am so new but, I would love to start by looking at some of your all time favorites!

I think the Foxwoods would be in my Top Five, along with the Rio (mainly the higher denoms).

foxwoods $1 is very meh, but the rest of the set is ballin' outta control. the rio chips have always been one of the best looking chips as far as spots and colors, although the inlay is a little too crazy for me.

    in no particular order:

    ritz
    olivia's
    vineyards
    pny's
    aztar (spotted tourney)
    dunes

I love the trk set that someone on chip talk owns. Can't remember the name but it's bright coloured. Maple? Those chips rock.

Too much white. It's the Bellagio $10 for me -- orange 8V with blue and green spots. Delicious!

If I had to pick a set, it would be the current Ocean's Elevens.

Among those I have, keepers are the Aruba Americana BJ CIC, Paulson Vineyards and Horseshoe Gardenas, and Paradise Poker Room Chipcos.

Bahamias are great, but the $25s are always a disappointment to look at. Ditto the Aztar $5s.

Love PNY $25s and $1s, have no use for the rest. Ritzes do nothing for me, and while I like looking at Olivias, I wouldn't want to play with them.

MGM Grand LVs and Mirages are always tempting.

Every time I see or hear about the Bellagio "flags" it reminds me of the book "The Professor, the Banker, and the Suicide King" by Michael Craig. Such an awesome book, and the "flag" epitomizes the high stakes player as so amazingly depicted in that book.

A $5k "flag" chip represents Five thousand U.S. dollars. To some, that is a new roof on their house, a new motorcycle or boat, maybe even a car. A big screen tv and entertainment center, a family vacation to an unforgettable destination.

To the high stakes players, it is a small blind, tossed in the middle every two minutes.

    Good choice Pug.

As stated in a previous post, IMO, the old Bellagio chips have always been a staple and the bench mark as my top chip. It really doesn't even matter what one it is, they all are so classy and timeless looking, the colors, spots, and inlays are breath taking. There was always something about having a handful of black hundreds, white and purple five hundreds, and a few yellow one thousands mixed in that can make my hand shake:wink:

I have only had my hands on one five thousand dollar chip and it was after an hour and twenty minute crap roll! Three, two hundred dollar hard eights and lots of fully loaded numbers, I walked away from that table just shy of 9500 hundred dollars on off the roll.

Ironically, I have not won a penny at the Bellagio since then, lol.

Anyway, I cant wait to pick up the book you guys referenced!

The $1 is actually the best chip of the set. The chips from $5 - $500 are pretty meh in person but the $1/2/1000/5000 chips are sa-weet!

I actually like the $1, $2, and $5 alot. The $25 is blah. The $100 is butt-ass ugly, and the $500 is OK but as $500 chips go, it's in the bottom left quadrant.
