I started working on a custom ASM set around the first of the year. First I had an idea about using the four trains from the Monopoly game. I contacted Johnny 5 and he agreed to take on the project. I was concerned that ASM may not let me use the artwork but Jim told J5 that he could use the artwork for a single buyer. I then changed the order to the oversized inlay.

J5 was GREAT to work with and we explored several different possible inlays. I wanted a cash set but one of the mock-ups looked so good I made it a matching tourney set.

<O></O>I knew I needed some higher denoms for the tourney and cash set so J5 helped again making a great plaque based on SC (where I live). I Sent the artwork to Joe at PGI and he got them done pretty quickly.

<O></O>The ASM order was placed on February 22 and I received the shipping notice today (June 29). There are 700 cash and 500 tourney chips headed my way with a delivery date of July 5. Here are the mock-ups with PrOn to follow next week.

Great idea and beautiful design I can't wait to see all the pron!!!!!!

I'm thinking you might also use Monoploy money as cash bundles for those high stakes games! :)

This is a really cool idea and the everything from the chip colors to the inlays to the plaques just screams "Monopoly!" This will no doubt having people giddy as all hell considering there's always been talk of using chips instead of Monopoly money around the CT boards.

This will be an awesome set to see when the pron goes up. Eagerly waiting!

I almost forgot to give a shout out to Tonypap who helped me out with some of the color choices. I also valued his and JM's imput on the inlays.

    Re: ASM/PGI Chip Monopoly!

I thought these looked familiar! I think at the time we didn't even know the larger inlays were possible so I can't wait to see how amazing these look on the oversized inlays!! They already looked great on the normal sized and I thought the H mold was perfect because it looked a bit like a railroad track circling around the chip. ATHY??

    Really nice inlays!
I love the mortgage and rent lines.
I was playing monopoly recently with my kids and thought things would have gone so much quicker if we all had chips instead of lousy paper currency to sling around.
Your poker games are going to be a trip!
    These are great!

Thanks everyone! It was very difficult to keep these under wrap for the last 4 months. I just didn't want to post them till I knew they were on the way. I like the bright Cali colors on the cash set and was tying to keep to the Monopoly theme.
