    just putting it out there…
bought some chips from a member, paid via paypal and the member is just blowing me off.
told me he sent out the chips out…without my address.

hey, it’s only 20 dollars, but there oughtta be a law.

Many, many purchases from members here and it NEVER happened to me.

I hope you get things resolved asap and it would be greatly appreciated by many if you could keep us updated so we don't have to go through what you're going through...

that's a blower... sorry to hear

is there a "reputation" section here on CT? ya know, where we can go post "so & so is a great seller!" or "so & so is fair and honest!" etc....

and a place where the bad guys can get blasted so nobody else gets burned

They should be returned to him with an undeliverable address. Unless he didn't put a return address on them...then he is incompetent and you should put their name out there, so nobody else gets taken.

He said he had my address and that the chips were sent.
All he had was my zipcode- never had the complete address.
Not going to share everything--still trying to work it out behind the scenes.
I'm a trusting guy, and this happens, but still...

    It's called mail fraud.
I don't know how long it's been or what you mean by blowing you off, but the post office can be notoriously slow, and I know my own habits for returning email can be pretty bad. I'd certainly give it some time, you can't lose any more by waiting. But just as certain, I'd also name names if he doesn't come through. Not to get back at him, but to warn others to take precautions if they do business with him.

Thinking about it some more, I trust this situation even less. I don't think anybody would ship off a package without confirming the address. Did he have your name, or do you use the same username on other sites? Some internet sleuthing and a little google-fu can turn up quite a lot about someone who isn't actively trying to cover their tracks. It doesn't matter though, he's an idiot if he sent you a package without asking you where to send it. Even if he found your correct address because you're the only Commodore Spurgeon Spoonlicker in Pisswater, ND, you may not want the package sent there for any number of reasons. My response to the situation wouldn't change though. Wait, then name names.

the chips came today—just a lack of communication that led to…well..turns out nothing at all.
    I made a mistake.

Well, at least you're a big enough person to admit that you made a mistake :)

Sounds like it was still reasonable to be concerned. He shipped without you providing an address and then was unresponsive to emails. Glad the chips arrived.

Not for F&F payments. Just need an email address.
