This was my first set of real poker chips that sent me "down the rabbit hole."

    1.jpg 2.JPG

It wasn't too long and I had to try out some Paulsons.

    1.JPG 2.JPG

At this point I was still playing on the kitchen table and it didn't feel right so I decided to build a poker table.

    1.JPG 2.JPG 4.JPG 5.JPG 6.JPG 7.JPG 9.JPG 11.JPG 12.JPG

The Paulson chips had a better feel than the Modern Clays but then these beauties became available and I just had to have a set.

    1.JPG 2.JPG

I started to get into photography and wanted to buy a bunch of camera gear so I sold off all my chips to finance a new hobby. :^( But it wasn't long and I was jonesing for a chip fix... The Noirs were no longer available so I was left searching... I decided on a set of the NPS chips.

    1.JPG 2.jpg

I needed something nice to keep them in so I started a little woodworking project.

    5.JPG 6.JPG 7.JPG 8.JPG

It wasn't long and I found a nice set of Speakeasy chips by BCC so of course I couldn't resist.

    1.JPG 2.JPG

I kept the Speakeasy chips for a while and learned that the Protege line of chips were going to be discontinued so I sold them to purchase a nice set of Proteges. This was going to be the last set I would ever need to own.... I was sure of it.

    1.JPG 2.JPG 3.jpg

I had been thinking about getting a new poker table and I came across a good deal for one that came out of a local casino. It was a little rough but the price was right.

    1.jpg 2.jpg

I wasn't real sure at first but when I got it home and cleaned it up I was pretty happy with the decision.

    4.JPG

It didn't take too long and I decided it needed a new playing surface so a new project was born.

    5.JPG 6.JPG 7.JPG 8.JPG 9.JPG 10.JPG 11.JPG 12.JPG 13.JPG 14.JPG 15.JPG

During the table project I couldn't pass up on a great deal for a little set of Paulson World Tophat and Cane chips.

    1.JPG 2.JPG

I'd been having a bit of sellers remorse after selling my Noirs, so as soon as I found some on eBay I bought them.

    1.JPG

I really thought I was content at this point..... Then...... What about looking into my very own CUSTOM SET??!!!!

Awesome thread... Awesome journey, but when I read your post "this is what happens when I'm bored", I immediately thought of THIS song from Styx.

wow, thanks for sharing your journey. it's a fun-filled story w/ lots of nice eye candy. I'm not sure what "enough chips" looks like? may never see an image that represents that.
