    Hi guys,

Building my first good quality chip set and really need some advice on chip breakdown.

What I'm thinking of going for is:
    1. 50c - 100
    2. 1$ - 100
    3. 5$ - 150
    4. 25$ - 150
    5. 100$ - 100
    6. 500$ - 50
    7. 1000$ - 50
Now, where the confusion (for me anyway comes in), is I play a few different games with varying starts and bet progressions. All with max 10 people and same number of buy-ins (usually not as many as 10):

    Type 1 - $500 start:
    • 50c/1$
    • 1$/2$
    • 2$/5$
    • 5$/10$
    • 10$/25$
    • 25$/50$
    • 50$/100$
    • 100$/200$
    Type 1 - $1000 start:
    • 5$/10$
    • 10$/25$
    • 25$/50$
    • 50$/100$
    • 100$/200$
    • 200$/500$
So basically, what I want to know is, do you think I have the right chip breakdown for both games?

Thanks in advance for any help.

I wrote a breakdown calculator to help when you want a set that's flexible for a variety of games. The calculator is available here on the pages drop down menu.
    Here's a couple screenshots:

You can play around with the calculator, and see how different games would work with your proposed breakdown. For the games you mentioned, I don't see any use for the 1000$, and would only use the 500$ for rebuys in the T1000 game. You could probably eliminate the 1000, and reduce the number of 500's. Could also reduce the number of .50's. More 5's and 25's would see more play.

I like this breakdown for your starting stacks

    80x.5 160x1 160x5 180x25 120x100
    Bank 17500

    10 Player Starting Stack

    T$500 8/16/16/16/0
    T$1000 0/0/15/17/5

    Maybe swap 20x100 for 20x500s
