    Hi folks -
I am purchasing a set of chips for my new home here in Asheville, NC. I'm fortunate to have BRPROPOKER right here in town, and am purchasing the chips from them.

The set is going to have five different denominations ($.25, $1, $5, $25, $100) plus a non-denominated commemorative color.

I am looking for a really cool design for the chips. I have some images to use, and a couple of ideas, but beyond that, I'm open.

I'll pay $50 for the best design, and will write a testimonial for your design - so you'll have an endorsement from a B-list poker celebrity!

If you're interested in giving this a shot, please email me at:

    jonesleeh at gmail dot com

and I'll send you the images and basic design specs.

    Regards,
    Lee Jones

You'll have custom ceramics, but if you stick around here long enough you'll want custom clays too someday. Welcome.

    welcome to the forums, sir.

rather than opening it up to the world, i'd strongly recommend browsing the custom chip galleries and going after a designer you think fits what you're looking for. you'll end up paying a bit more but will have some time to work on it with the guy, and will be sure to come up with something beautiful.

If you're really Lee Jones, I probably owe you a cut of my bankroll for writing this book:

Yep, sure enough, it's me. Thanks for the kind words, and send the BR royalty check to me at 3...

P.S. Once when I was hosting some event at PokerStars, a guy at the table started asking me scuba diving questions to see if I was the Real Lee Jones.

Welcome aboard, Lee. It's nice to see this forum is expanding to people who really are a part of the great game of poker. I am always amazed when I see that a lot of poker pros play with junky chips in their home games. Of course, I think it is -ev for us sometimes, as we focus more on the chips and less on our opponents and the game at hand.

Regardless, back to the topic. Maybe if you tell us what your other hobbies or interests are, they could possibly be incorporated into the chip design.

Gl, sir. Have a blast here in our addicting chip paradise.

Welcome aboard Lee, we're honored and glad to have you. You should definitely make the acquaintance of one Lynbark Designs ChipTalk.net - Poker Chip Forums - View Profile: Lynbark Designs who has done some amazing work with BR Pro Poker in the past. Brent (Lynbark) is the designer of the Kokopelli custom set that originated here on ChipTalk. Here's his website where lots of other samples of Brent's excellent work can be found Custom Poker Chips and he's located right in your neck of the woods in the Tar Heel state too.

    Welcome aboard, Lee.

Your book is the very first poker book I partially read.

I read about 40% of it, but never got around to finishing it.
Part of the reason is that I started making money at the 6-12 limit tables, and never looked back.

Maybe I'll get around to finish the book someday soon.

I liked that the book had Paulson (looking) chips on the cover.

Welcome to the ChipTalk forums Mr Jones! I am a big fan and this is a special Easter treat to see you post here. (I can't believe I missed this thread for three days)

Needless to say you are in good hands here. Some of our members design for casino chip makers like Chipco and Atlantic Standard Molding, and of course for other members and vendors.

Let's hope your design is one of the best ever. Let's get one good enough for the 2010 ChipTalk Calendar. :)

    [p.s. What's this malarky about "B-List" poker celebrity!? You're most certainly A-list!]

Cool, it's great for this site to be expanding into the poker pro realm, welcome aboard Lee!! There's so many great custom designs to be found on here, and once I get my custom set I will be hiring one of the people here to help out.

Just remember to post lots of pictures when they're done:happy:

I suspect that there are a lot of "real" Lee Jones's, but that only one of them wrote that particular book. Probably the first real poker book that I read as well.

    Welcome Lee.

Johnny5 (a member and Moderator here), as well as Fins, have created some of the finest designs ever to grace chips. I heartily endorse them and recommend that you look at their work. Doing a search for their names here on Chiptalk should garner some results. I've done a few designs along the way, but nowhere near the same league as those guys. :embarras:

    GL Sir. :)
