Well, in the last competition, I didn't vote for my chip, because it was not the one I was most likely to spend $$ on. I didn't think it was the most marketable.

This time, I did for for my design because it IS the design I would spend money on. (But all the designs are great!)

I completely understand what Garyon is doing. I agree with his post, and I agree that this contest has been run ethically. He's just saying that if you want some input here, GO VOTE!

BTW, Good on ya Gary for posting this thread! I agree WHOLE HEARTED with you! It really does cloud the results when a particular contestant gets the most votes solely on relationships and not on ACTUAL WORTH! I'm with you, everyone needs to vote on the design they would MOST LIKELY want to own, whether they are in the market to buy chips or not.

Don't be sorry ... Joel has put together a fantastic design. The intent was not to trash his design but to just increase the turnout of our more active members to offset the appearance of people who would not have typically voted.

I do not want to influence WHO you vote for ... just trying to influence people TO vote.

I suspect that there are a few of the folks from CP, not all or even most of them, but a few who may not really be interested in the equal and fair expression of opinion unless it agrees with their own.
