Re: Sun-Fly's 43mm Design Competition

I love the J, Q, and K idea. The images look a little choppy to me, so I'm not sure if you were designing them that way, or if that is just how they came out. I personally would like the images a little cleaner and smoother, but that is just my preference. I'm not wild about the Ace or Joker, and I think you have to do something else with the suits. The idea is right, I just don't care for the implementation of it. The suits look like they are mangled the way they are hanging off the edge. For the ace, I think I would grab the A of spades (either one that matches the deck you were using, a fancy one, or design your own)

I really like the idea though. Are there any issues with copyright stuff with the faces?

Feen -- now there is a fresh, new design! I'm really curious how the rolling edge will look on an actual chip: I think it will really stand out. I think this would be a nice set. Now what six colors would you employ... I'm having trouble imagining a brown or yellow chip here.

Good work!

I'm pretty curious myself about the edge.

Are you going to try a white chip for an "all-diamond" look? I'd love to see that.

I might try the all white.maybe for a 100k or dealer button.I also have a square cut diamond that would make a great plaque. But as of right now SF only wants 6 denoms in the set.
