I was thinking about Escher this morning, in fact. I was even thinking of using the 6 denominations together -- with both sides, you could have a design that spreads across 12 chips! But I realized that people may not use all 6 denoms. (plus, I don't have the artistic skills of Escher! )

After comparing the two images, I think I have to agree with both you and Josh, it does look better behind or between elements.

The Escher idea is very interesting, you could play color and design across all the chips. You could even do a small version of Metamorphisis;


That could be very interesting. I have a pretty good eye, but zero talent....

Okay --here's my first run through. Managed to come up with 6 chips. I have NO idea what to do on the rolling edge. Suggestions welcome!

Those are beautiful chips.

You did a great job bringing different themes to every chip and making the colors feel correct. The chips all feel unique, yet part of a set.

Maybe a ND chip with all of the pictures in one scene?

Thanks, nelohalo... I've certainly been thinking about no-denom chips, bounty chips, dealer chips, etc. I hadn't though about tying them together with a no-demon chip. That's a neat idea. A challenge has been making the chips all different. I was tempting to do "six sea creatures" or "six safari animals" or "six birds." But I think I got a good mix here.

Nice, simple, "crisp" design. It certainly lends itself to many colors (I think you had a red shown on your other thread).

The script font may not work well with the ceramic printing process. Particularly on the brown background, it may not show up well after ink bleed. Have you thought about the rolling edge?

O.K. I've boosted the size of the font, however I couldn't find any other fonts that I liked for this design.

Also, I added edge spots.

Thoughts...?

It's looking pretty good. I'm thinking the text will be kind of hard to read as well. Thicker may help. Also, the gold on gold will be hard to make out.

Perhaps something with a drop shadow or an outer glow...

I like this font, but it may not be what you are looking for. It's Zapfino if you like it...

I really liked the suggestion, however I couldn't find a free font of Zapfina, so I just stayed with the original one. I think it will print just fine. But, what do I know.

Anyway, here's the revisions and I've added a "DEALER" button to the mix.
