Why Is this Happening?

Each time I return to CT, I always find a low number in the "new posts" link, even if I haven't viewed CT in a while. Recently, I logged out, and continued viewing, but somehow got logged in automatically when I viewed a new page.

Can someone tell me what is causing this? I just want to understand it and be sure nothing nefarious is occurring with my acct.

Where is the "Todays Posts" link?

I usually hit the "new posts" but recently have had the same problems or get a "wait 5 seconds...." message.

Today's Posts is the first item on the Quick Links drop-down menu (main menu bar across the top of the page).

I've managed to wipe out my New Posts a couple of times but I can't recall what I did. I'll hop back in this thread if I can figure it out.

Edit: I'm not ignoring the OP's question, but all I can say is "I don't know." Sorry.

Thanks for the reply abby99. I tried my laptop today and all seems to be okay. I will try the the todays link on my desktop if it is still having issues. I think I reset my settings or cleared something that is giving me issues.
