Chips: 30 | | | How to earn chips? Hey everyone, I'm brand new to these forums, and although it's more than likely posted somewhere on the forums about where I can get "points" in order to post in some of the forums, I must have missed it. I was trying to make a post in the "Poker Chip General" section and it wouldn't allow me to |

and....welcome to the board. |

Chips: 647 | | Re: How to earn chips? First of all Hi and welcome to chiptalk. You gain chips by posting in threads. However you do not always get a point for each post. Your post must contain information of value and not just be a comment in reaction to another post. you should also be aware that as a new member you may have certain restrictions on where you are able to post. In addition when you do post try to do it under the correct thread heading, if you do not it will cost you a chip because the modes have to spend time redirecting posts to the correct section. Again welcome and enjoy. |

This is a great community of people, someone is always willing to help or answer questions. I have found this site to be friendlier and more pleasant than any other forum I have ever been a part of. Just treat everyone here with respsct and you will get the same treatment back. Oh by the way you may want to look inside your wallet now because you will never have money in it again. LOL |

There are a few forums here that does not give any chips or even cost you chips to start a thread, such as the general ones. Also you can earn chips by writing a review. |

Sometimes you will write a long-winded post, sharing lots of information, and get diddly for it because the thread is in a 'general' category (even if that is the best place for it).
Other times you can respond like I'm doing now (I verified already on the bottom left of the screen that I will get a chip for responding), not really adding anything to the conversation, and get a chip for it.
