Ace Rothstein: [narrating] In Vegas, everybody's gotta watch everybody else. Since the players are looking to beat the casino, the dealers are watching the players. Chips: 446 | | | Re: Help us out with a better "Reputation Levels" wording I'm with Dad on using chips as levels. Start out with Dice for the lowest and end up at Paulson's.
Or alternatively, use a deck of cards. Once someone hits it big, he/she is the Ace of Spades, down to a Duece.
Or....
Low Card
High Card
Pair
Two Pair
Trips
Straight
Flush
Full House
Quads
Straight Flush

Of course, these need to be pokerchip related, but in the meantime here's some to stimulate the creative juices:
-2000 = Admins, wake up! Why hasn't this clown been banned?
-1000 = can't tell a poker chip from a pringle
0 = jury is still out
20000 = the voice of God
Here's a set of rankings adapted from my college days:
5,000:
Leaps tall buildings in a single bound
Is more powerful than a locomotive
Is faster than a speeding bullet
Walks on water
Gives policy to God
4,000:
Leaps short buildings with a single bound
Is more powerful than a switch engine
Is just as fast as a speeding bullet
Takes a few steps on water
Talks with God
3,000:
Leaps short buildings with a running start and favorable winds
Is almost as powerful as a switch engine
Is faster than a speeding BB
Walks on water in an indoor swimming pool
Talks with God if a special request is honored
2,000:
Barely clears a quonset hut
Loses tug of war with a locomotive
Can fire a speeding bullet
Swims well
Is occasionally addressed by God
1,000:
Makes high marks on the walls when trying to leap tall buildings
Is run over by locomotives
Can sometimes handle a gun without inflicting self-injury
Treads water
0:
Climbs walls continually
Rides the rails
Plays Russian Roulette
Walks on thin ice
Prays alot
-1,000:
Runs into buildings
Recognizes locomotives two out of three times
Is not issued ammunition
Can stay afloat with a life jacket
Talks to walls
-2,000:
Falls over doorstep when trying to enter buildings
Says "Look at the choo-choo"
Wets himself with a water pistol
Plays in mud puddles
Mumbles to himself
TenPercenter:
Lifts buildings and walks under them
Kicks locomotives off the tracks
Catches speeding bullets in his teeth and eats them
Freezes water with a single glance
IS God

I like the cards and chips idea, but it just doesn't denote "reputation" as well as does this idea of people above.
For the negative, how about, Cooler, Fish, (all I can think of).
But even if we used this system, we need full sentences so that we all know what the button "means." Like " user is considered by most to be a player" or " user is not ranked much more than a fish by his peers." |
