Coconut Beach Samples Question for those who have purchased samples NEED INPUT!

I got off the phone with Dave Endy yesterday and the printers is having to redo the proof.
This means a little delay in the samples because they are redoing the proof. They are being very picky to make sure the colors match.
Would you guys like to delay the samples 3 weeks and get samples on the new mold.
From what I am told the mold should be done in about 3 weeks and then it would take about a week for the samples to be done.
What say you?
If more than half of you want to wait than we will wait.

Wouldn't that take away the cool factor of them being prototypes if they are the exact chip that everyone will have. Also could it affect any future value? Will there be any differences from the final chips to show that they in fact are prototypes? I have 3 sample sets coming and have been excited to know that they are the birth of a brand new chip and will be different from what the masses will have.

I will wait if we can do the new mold. But be prepared to get bombarded in 4 weeks with lots of where are my chips.

Now that I read this maybe you are right. I can order samples of the final mold when they are done for real. Changed my opinion to lets get them sooner.

I'm OK with the wait. I am more interested in the new mold and the shaped inlays than I am the exact colors.

i'd say everyone makes a good point about having a limited run sample set different than everyone else. i say go ahead and do the samples.

I vote for Get R Done as well...The most appealing thing was the limited nature of this sample run...and I will need all the time I can get staring at the greens and blacks deciding which to have in numbers in the eventual set!

Re: Coconut Beach Samples Question for those who have purchased samples NEED INPUT!

Hey Roland,

Good to hear that they're being so picky with the color matching! Regarding the samples: I also like the idea of the prototypes being different from the final product, so my vote would be to go ahead and have the samples made now. (Plus, that would mean we could get them that much sooner! )

Thanks again for all of your work on these!!! -Trav-
