I've jumped on every one of the three offerings so far, bought a few thousand chips and each time a new offering comes out. Now, I would just like to have a full set of 44mm chips!
But at least I have plenty of prototypes on hand to choose my colors from now and the inlays are done and ready to go on the chips. |

Why would an American chip company of the age of ASM be making anything in millimeters instead of fractions of an inch?????? |

Just a guess. |

Besides, we need something to take our minds off the waiting for the announcement, so I might as well ponder the metric question. I even purchased a new construction grade tape measure that has both feet/inches and metric so I can do my job here without looking like an idiot asking how many feet are in 2.75 meters, etc. |

I'd guess that since chips were being made way back in the early 20th century here, and the metric system was not yet as popular here as it is now (yeah right), that the molds were maybe made in a country that did use metric measurements.
