Re: Solid Clay Compression Sale - The Solid Wall

PCL- I think that there are so many pending questions that the time frame on GB should be extended (or all the questions/requests answered).

This custom ChipTalk link is built to show you only the real deal: Casino quality poker chips; Not the plastic chips that some sellers call "clay."

Not sure why they are so different. I have laminated color charts from Palm that I hold the chip up to directly and match the color. The orange is the trickiest to match because it's a flouresent, day glo type color that's not on the chart, and the printer can not match it. You can get close to that one but not exact.

As for the other colors, we carefully matched and double checked the chips with the charts we have and they all match pretty close. That green code that Joe gave does not look right to me for sure.

I'd love to just buy sight unseen but with the previous shipment's defects I want to really see samples before putting a large purchase down. I doubt that I can get samples and if I'm happy with the product to then get my artwork in before the end of this week.

Further, with the new pricing I don't quite see why I wouldn't go with the wallsons for only $.08 more printed per chip. That is, if I'm seeing the proper pricing. Thats only $80 more for 1000 chips with edgespots. And if this is a group buy price only through end of the week I'm assuming these will be almost if not as expensive as the wallsons afterwards?

I hate to play bad in your order thread but I'm pretty dissapointed. I've been anxiously awaiting these and I still think they're going to be great chips. I'm just not quite sure I'm going to make the leap now.
We respect your opinion. These chips don't have the defects the last shipment did. This is why when you bought the last ones we said they had cracks. These don't have defects, and if you get chips from this batch with defects then we replace them because that's our policy.

If you had purchased the defective chips you know enough about this chip to make a decision as if it's the type of chip that's acceptable to you. Same chip without the defects.

As far as the pricing goes, it's your call as to whether you think they cost more than you think they are worth or to step up to the Wallson's.

Let me know if you have any further questions.

David

Pretty much the same base color as the wallsons, the edges stipes in the Wallson can make the base color appear different.

I personally would like to see how the final mold looks on the solids along with them in stacks, in a pot, etc.

It's hard to plunk down a couple hundred bucks on chips w/o updated pictures.

Thanks, John
The scans shown on the original post were from the new batch. here are some pics of the new chips in stacks:

Close is good enough for me.

Just to recap, you're saying that your Hex codes are more accurate except for the orange in which case Joe's RGB code is closer. Is that right?
