I saw this hand again last night.

You can deifinitely see the pocket tens so I don't think ESPN got it wrong. However at the turn there was Ad Jd and the T(?) on the board. SO there wer a lot of reasonable hands that the 2 opponents could be holding that would be scary for a set of tens. My guess is he figured someone had pocket aces, pocket jacks, or KQ and that he was beat already. If not he had to figure that his opponents each had at least very strong draws, and decided that staying in the game in hopes of moving up the pay ladder was more important than risking it all right there. Still a bad laydown, but not totally without logic.

Worst laydown ever. For 10 minutes after seeing that, I was amazed... then him telling Ivey about it... Wow.

I'm still shocked a little.

I guess it doesn't really count because it was a celebrity (a reality TV celeb at that), but last night on Bravo I saw a worse laydown. Charla from the Amazing Race folded the nut straight!? I guess she didn't look at the board right, but she had the nuts and folded! At least the set of 10 guy had some reason to think he was beat, but laying down the nuts!!! I so wish I were a celebrity just so I could get on that show! Those celebs would even make Yeltzen look like a pro!

(sorry Yeltzen, but you are always putting your play down so I'm just taking your word for it.)

That 10s laydown was terrible. I remember the hand and while the board was a little scary, the betting wasnt insane and he had NO reason to think someone had a straight or a higher set.

If he was facing a big bet and then a raise in front of him sure, but he was facing a moderate bet and just a call. The pot was a nice size there and his play should have been to re-raise.

Both Rodriguez and Mark Cooper are train wrecks. My favorite part is that the show comments on how many years they've been playing!
