I was watching "Cheap Seats" WSOP 1998 final table on ESPN classic last night, and I never noticed it but Scotty's voice sounds more "normal" than it does now. Nowadays it sounds like he's missing half a tongue or something. Did he have cancer or something? I know he is a avid smoker.
I saw Scotty at the Mirage a few months ago and he gets up to smoke every ten mins. When they allowed smoking in the poker rooms a few years ago he would sit with about 3 packs of Winston's next to his large stack. He is a bigtime chain smoker!
