I dunno if that was directed at me but I wasn't judging him as a player, I was just judging the last hand. You can't win big tournaments if you're willing to sit there and call bets until you're all in.
I hope you guys saw the 2004 WSOP on ESPNclassic during the last few days. How the hell did Williams make it to the final table again? Seems like every hand he won, he either had a set, 2 pairs, or got lucky on the river.
He looked like a nervous wreak heads up and basically kept betting despite the pot odds and what not. They showed 2 hands between them. One Williams won because Raymer had nothing. And the other he was dominated didn't even know it. When Williams plays tight, he's very tight, and when loose, he's out of his mind. I was watching some Celebrity vs. Pros match on FSN and Williams did the same thing against some woman. She had top pair K and Williams kept betting until he was broke. I think the only things this guy can read accurately are books.
I would've liked to have seen Josh Arieh in a heads up with Raymer. That might have been more interesting. Arieh is agressive but not stupid. Him laying down a King high Flush to John Murphy's deuce Full at the final table was nothing short of amazing!
