Why? They're only going to be used for a single event. What's the purpose of going to a higher price chip. They serve the purpose don't they?
Besides, off-center inlays can be found on chips from all of the manufacturers including Paul-Son/GPI if you look through enough casino chips. Unfortunately for me, they slip through my fingers back to the house too quickly

, but I do notice that some are a bit off-center. No big deal, if I take them to the cashiers cage they'll still give me cash in the amount of the face value of the chip.

So it seems that they do serve their intended purpose.
