Poker Royale on GSN - Are those 11.5g Suited chips!?!
hold the flames for watching a Celebrity vs. Poker Pros show... I Tivo anything with the word poker in it...
Could those be regular hotstamped 11.5g suited chips? I mean, I guess they could be Bud Jones chips, it's hard to tell between those two from just looking... but I can actually "hear" the sound of 11.5g chip on that show...
At least on the other Celebrity show (on Bravo I think) they use good chips. Of course that one's filmed at the Palms...
I've noticed the same thing. I was suprised to see huge stacks of what looked like blue 11.5 gram "offical casino weight clay" chips. Like you said, they could be Bud Jones... so could anyone reassure me they are before I lose all faith in common knowledge of poker chips? I mean, isn't there one person involved in that show that realizes 11.5g chips are NOT the kind of chips you should be using on a TV show?
i've been watching this show, and kinda praying they weren't what they appear to be. but watch how often someone accidentally knocks over a big stack o' em. and yes, you can hear them.
and why does there need to be so many of them? the celebs don't know how to cut 'em. it would make sense to have 2 denoms, just to help the retards.

Celebrity Showdown uses good, old-fashioned jumbo inlay Paulson H&Cs. If those photos are what I think they are, that GSN **** got cheap in the one spot (well, two) where realism counts. What's up with the all blue chips anyway... they play T10/20? Or maybe $0.25/0.50 ring? WTF?
