will tilt 2nd season affect chip value?

so i noticed that in the commercials plugging the release of the tilt dvd on 06/14 that they refer to the dvd as "the complete first season." does this mean that there definitely will be a 2nd season? i wonder if all of the chips used on the show were "accidentally" sold, or if they still have some left. either way, they will probably have to have more of the same exact chips made to keep the believability of the show, or maybe the casino will have experienced some "accounting irregularities" and thus release a new series of chips. if more of the same ones are made, i wonder how their accidental release will affect the value of the chips that are already out there (seems like it would drive the value down at least a little unless the newer chips are in some way distinguishable from the old ones)... maybe (hopefully) there will be some way to distinguish the newer chips from the original ones... hmmm... anyone have any insight into this or know anything about a 2nd season?

I am pretty sure that they said no to a second season. I for one will be very glad. Tilt was garbage.

I heard that the sale of the chips was accidental, they were apparently in a trailer full of props that got sold.

Heh, I almost moved your thread down to "TV" without even opening it... then I figured it may be about the chips

They finished off the first season and left it open to do a second. Will they who knows.

As for the chips well I for one dont think anything to do with props being sold is accidental. When it comes to TV or Movie stuff its all about the marketing. If they can sell them now and make a nice profit when people think they will not get them again they will.

VARoadstter, how come you thought Tilt was garbage...was it the content, the acting or what? Just curious....

I never saw an episode, but I never gave it a chance.

I saw a preview where the main character says something like:::

Main guy: Raise
Other guy: Did you even look at your cards yet??
Main guy: No, but I saw your face when you looked at yours.

I can't really judge t he show based on that, it could have been pretty good and entertaining, but that trailor made me lose any bit of interest I had.

I would be interested to hear what others thought of the show and maybe give a re-run a chance to judge for myself.

I did watch Tilt, most of it anyway. I think I missed the last episode or two. The fact that it was set in Vegas and was about Poker intriqued me. (Of course, I also like to look at Eddie Cibrian ). I found it mildly entertaining, but nothing to really rave about. Anyone who is a die hard poker player probably would not have liked it - or maybe they would, I don't know. If there happens to be a second series in the future - more than likely I will watch again.

Never saw it, but haven't heard anything good about it either.

Yes, they were accidentally sold, but not because there's a second season. They were meant to be kept by the producers. (so the story goes by the man that ended up with them)

I watched most of it, but not every episode. It was OK. If it had been in a different setting and not about poker, I probably wouldn't have cared. I did like Michael Madsen, he cracks me up. Great line, "I wipe my @ss with 8 grand. Nine if I've had chili." Imagine that with the Madsen smart-@ss smirk from Reservoir Dogs.

I'd probably watch if there were a 2nd season, but at the same time, I wouldn't really miss it if there's not. It never really made "must watch" status with me.
