While reading through the latest issue of Bluff Magazine, I saw an article on NBC's upcoming series on a Heads Up poker tournament. Essentially they broke it down to 64 players (kind a like the NCAA basketball bracket) and will have shows spotlighting 2 players going head to head with an eventual final heads up to crown a champion.
Looks like a great show idea. Look forward to seeing it. Can't recall when the series starts exactly (May timeframe). Look for it soon on your local NBC channel.
I don't know if people did this but I would've liked to fill out the brackets and see how good I would've done because I have already heard who won. Hopefully the show is done well and will have a second tourney and it would be great if they could somehow do it live just for the brackets part like the ncaa, but I dont think thats possible.
yeah, that would be great if they could possibly make an NCAA-style bracket for another 64 player tourney like that... Gamblers would go crazy... i would definately bet on that... But i already know who won the first one... read it all on cardplayer.com
Yes, stupid Cardplayer ruins it again...I always try to wait and watch the tourneys to see who wins, but they had to go and ruin last year's world series AND the head's up tourney....
Oh well, off to read this months issue

I just watched it and I was a little disappointed, they seemed to spend a lot of time on player info instead of watching the table, but the tournament format is great.

Damn, I missed it... anyone know when the next episode is?
