Beyond the Glory - Legends of Poker

A lot of poker shows on TV are a little "goofy" nowadays, so much so that lately I delete more Tivo shows than I watch. But i saw one tonight that was more like "Biography" for Doyle Brunson than actual poker. I enjoyed it, and smiled more than a few times during the show.

Watch for it on Fox Sports Net. : Beyond the Glory - Legends of Poker

Yup, TiVo grabbed that one for me as well. I watched while taking a 1st in a $30+$3 S&G on PokerStars (nice bonus). I liked the coverage of Barry Greenstein as well.

I've got a number of Dyles books. One of them is just a series of short stories of him running the Texas circuit way back in the day. I'd love to see that show if it has any resemblance to that book. Thanks for the heads up.

Watched it last night as well. Doyle, Johnny Chan, Amarillo Slim, Scotty Nguyen and Barry Greenstein. I though the most interesting parts were about Greenstein's background (b/c I hadn't heard it before) and Johnny Chan talking about his part in Rounders.
