Re: Safe spoilage has come to Chiptalk!

Really cool idea!

but, the problem is...when you scroll over the thread title in "new posts" search results, it still gives you the pop-up that previews the OP contents!

Re: Safe spoilage has come to Chiptalk!

Good addition, and this has lots of uses.

Of course, it doesn't work for people who like to view things using the "print" mode, like this:

http://www.chiptalk.net/forum/poker-...alk-print.html

But still this is a nice option to have.

Matt,

I'm looking forward to the next upgrade -- the one where we can buy chips & hide it from the spouse!

I have it working all around. The only thing we are missing now is the thread preview tooltip. I had to turn that off. If someone really wants that feature we will have to have a discussion about it.

I just posted a thread about it HERE

This is just my opinion, so I don't mean to offend anyone, especially x-files. I really think your new idea is great...actually its a really cool feature, but I don't think it serves enough purpose to remove/replace the thread preview. I think the thread preview is a more versatile feature that is probably used by more people than this new feature would.

Again, I repeat, this is just my opinion and I don't mean to offend.

Re: Safe spoilage has come to Chiptalk!

Just my 2c, but I use the thread preview ALL the time. Great tool when I'm moving through the new posts and the title doesn't give me enough info on the thread topic.
