Caught the last 20 minutes or so. Mercier and Minieri big stacks for the final table. What time is 1500 CET in EST? Never mind, it's 8am Eastern.

CET is daylight savings time in the UK....GMT is normal time during the winter. So 2PM GMT is 3PM CET which is 5 hours ahead of EST now that we are both back on daylight savings time.

So 3PM here is 10 AM EST not 8 AM

I'm sorry, but that was a brutal last hand. I don't know what either of them were thinking. Maybe I'm not agressive enough, but I don't think I would have played either hand that way.

Yeah and so was the hand right before the final heads up battle, pocket QQ my favorite losing hand of all time up against a flush draw which obviously hits on the river.

The entire tournament flipped direction on that hand as it was the 2 huge chip stacks going head to head.

John Duthie was commenting at the end of the tournament about how much trouble the WPT is in these days and how good the EPT is now. Of course, that's his job. Seems like they fixed a lot of the problems that the players have been talking about for years regarding the WPT.
