I'd put money on it not ever happening. Why? Helmuth won't want to put himself in that position. He wouldn't have much to gain really, and he's smart enough to know that.
Helmuth always seems to keep himself out of positions to get shown up really big. |

Agreed, Hellmuth has nothing to gain by playing durr. What this really boils down to is live vs. online. They need to have a live vs. online challenge with hellmuth, negreanu, matusow, etc. vs townsend, durrrr, imper1um, etc. Maybe a series of deepstack onetable tourneys like PAD but slower structure. I think that would make a great tourney. |

Someone needs to tell NBC to have an online vs. live week. Get Durrrr, townsend, and one other online stud to play against guys like Negreanu, Helmuth, et al. It wouldn't (obviously) "settle" anything over who are the better players, but it would draw good ratings, IMO. |

It should be played like a 'horse' game with a mix of online/live play.
They could set up offices with networked computers and alternate online and live with each blind level. I think it would make great tv poker because they could have closed circut tv cams in each office, they could cut back and forth, using split screens and have any chats scroll across the bottom. |
