PPT is dead, and the uspc isn't being aired this year. |

I think the PPT died because it didn't have a TV contract with anybody after the first season, it never got one, so it went away.
I'm guessing ESPN doesn't think it is profitable to send a cast and crew to Atlantic City to film for a week for the USPC anymore. Just a guess. |

I thought I read on 2+2 forum that there where camera crews at this years USPC, but no deal to a network had been struck. I also thought I read that possibly NBC was going to air some sort of coverage of the tournament. I believe there was another tournament running at the same time that cut the number of entries down this year. It is a shame because that was my favorite televised poker tournament. |

Well, that really sucks. USPC is my favorite tournament to watch. For some reason, I really like that tournies coverage. |

I do like the coverage, and I like the fact that it is smaller and because it is a $20,000 buy in, it seems to attract better poker in my opinion. Also, it's not so showy like the WSOP...seems to be more about poker and less about 5000+ donkey amateurs & celebs... |
