Chips: 225 | | | Celebrity Poker Showdown Anyone else miss watching these donkeys play?
Hellmuth ran that show into the ground sort of like him driving that car.
It wasn't my favorite poker show but it beat about 80% of the non-poker shows out there. |

I agree with my friend links - the Gordon commentary was excellent, and he had a very nice chemistry with Foley. I also thought in general, the show had a lot of entertainment value. But Hellmuth was absolutely the worst choice to replace PG. I couldn't even watch through that whole season. |

I think that it ran it's course like many other poker shows have done and Gordon got out while the getting was good. In my opinion, the Brat didn't have a chance to ruin it. He barely got his feet wet.

That's television for you! |

A little poker knowledge, a lot of TV Entertainment.

it was the first poker show i ever saw...and gordon was awesome. the idea, of 6 crappy players going at it with gordon giving out very basic, sound, tag advice, was pure gold b/c it mirrored what we were all going through at our home games... plus good ABC advice for how to beat it.
i agree it somewhat ran it's course (mostly b/c i learned how to play and didn't need gordon telling me that top pair is pretty strong), but i gave it another shot when they shook things up and wow hellmuth was bad. |
