Chips: 2,299 | | | PAD Season 3 Discussion thread First of all, I really like the new intro with Dolye Brunson. It's just pretty classy.
But one question, is the South Point takeing over all the poker shows now??
HSP and now PAD too? If those aren't the SP chips, they look pretty close.
And is this the way it works now? an amateur selects the players? Not sure if that was a good move.
But one thing is for sure, Mike Matusow needs two chairs next time.

Not sure if the whole season is selected by Amateurs maybe just the first week.
We will have to wait and see. |

I like the table talk, you get to hear more of the personal side of each player.
w/ out Shanna it's not worth watching it as much. She was really good at interviewing each player. When they busted out, I feel like she was good at easing their pains.... cough* (rack) cough* I'm not a big fan of the new girl. She's, not witty with the questions. Reminds me of Courtney Friel.
What I would like for the show to do is:
- 2 more players
- HIgher stakes (maybe 30 K starting)
- Add another commentator
- Maybe a small 3 table tourney( silly but might be a cool change)
I'm a late nighter so I appreciate some pro poker |

This first week is a special "Dream Week" where Ken Light selected his opponents after winning a promotion on FTP. All the rest of the weeks will have special themes also, but no more amateurs. One of the upcoming weeks that looks real interesting is "Couples Week" featuring three poker couples (i.e. Laak/Tilly, etc.).
South Point hosted before, but they've changed the chips.
The new intro is great - very classy. I don't mind watching it on every episode. I think I could listen to Doyle talk poker for hours.
Matusow is getting very large, and seems to be extremely sensitive to the Brat's ribbing. Maybe he's off his meds??? It sure looks like he's on his way to losing his weight bet, regardless.
Hellmuth's still an obnoxious ass, shocker.
The new chick will be fine w/some experience I'm sure, but I do miss Shana.
More to follow I'm sure...

I really enjoyed that Main event champions game with Brunson, Hachem, Raymer, Gold, Seed... and somebody else.

He had a lot of athletic talent, so his formerly 3-handicap doesn't surprise me, although I would never have guessed it was ever that low.
I like this week's lineup a lot better than last week's. Too many loudmouths last week (Scotty, Mike, Phil - those are the last three people I want at my poker table unless I have earplugs). Plus I like all the golf-talk.
So, is David Oppenheim a bad player? Did he play badly this week? Or did he get cold-decked? I thought he looked awkward, but he could always look that way. I forget how he looked on the WSOP Stud broadcast, so I can't use that as a comparison. Maybe one of you remembers? |

You think it was before his accident?
Who is that Oppenheim guy? never saw him before
