This WSOP was....

So now the even the rest of the world was able to enjoy the final Horse Event I thought it might be interesting to rate the entire 2007 WSOP.
I really really enjoyed the HORSE, by far more than any other event this year.
Okay, the ME just sucked, as expected, peroid. A big minus, but I think it's a sign, that the Horse Event was shown last. Let's hope there will be more Day1 action next year.
But I also like the bracelet events. Especially the Omaha and Stud, my favorit was the Stud event where Jeff Lessandro finally won his first bracelet.
Last ME had wanted to "take" Friedmans head off, and now he cried like a little baby. I like that guy.
But also the event with Gavin Smith was fun.

I gave it a "b", it was funny to watch overall.

Re: This WSOP was....

The HORSE coverage....interesting. Lots of hands, not just the all-ins. Gives the average home viewer the opportunity to see something other than HE which could possibly renew interest in other games (I can hope, anyway).

Wish there were a 2-7 TD event though. Love that game.

Re: This WSOP was....

The 2007 WSOP was the same as any year IMHO. The ESPN coverage this year was a disappointment.

Re: This WSOP was....

The HORSE tournament has been fun. The Main Event was slightly better than last year's.

Re: This WSOP was....

I was slightly disappointed by the HORSE coverage. I thought last year's final table was sick and this year's was only mildly under the weather. The games were good to watch but John Hanson and Bruno were just kind of blah to me (even though I like them both).

Re: This WSOP was....

I give it a 'D' this year. The H.O.R.S.E. event was the only redeeming aspect of the total broadcast for me. I thought the ME coverage was as bad as (I hope) it gets.

Re: This WSOP was....

Should this thread be moved to a more appropriate forum though - like the tv and movies one maybe?

I started this thread in the Poker on tv and in movies forum

Dunno who forwarded it.

btw.
This was the first time I was really able to watch all broadcasted WSOP and not only the ME.
This thread should show me where the years WSOP ranked in your more experienced opinions.

Re: This WSOP was....

Weird. Doesn't seem to fit at all in this forum. I'm not a mod though so have no clue how that thinking works.

Cheers.
