| | | Kirk Morrison - am I the only person who's never heard of him before?
I found out just recently that this guy is supposedly one of the best players in recent history. He's supposedly came up through the ranks with Negreanu, Cunningham, et. al. but then move to Auckland NZ and pretty much gave up poker during the past 7 or so boom years.
I'm impressed. I like how he's pretty much decided to give up on 'power poker' and play more of an all-around game. Anybody else find this guy interesting?

I believe we were talking about him a few months ago at our game. Guy leaves for years, comes back and is instantly at final tables in the WSOP...must be halfway decent ...you think?

Yeah, I think. 
Did you catch the telecast when he ordered the Dom to share with Scotty? Crazy stuff. The guy seems like a class act. Quote:

I saw him first in an very early episode of the WSOP 2007. He was living in New Zealand for five years or something.

This guy is for real. I met and played with him at the WSOP last year (2006). Moreover he is a great guy to hang out with. |

When you look at and listen to the guy now, It is hard to believe he got caught up in a self destructive lifestyle. Poker needs more guys like Kirk and less like "Rain" Khan. |
