Chips: 2,456 | | | ME Thread *Remaining Players* (100% Funhouse of Spoilers) SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS TURN BACK...........TURN BACK..............TURN BACK
Let's keep this thread dedicated to the discussion of remaining hopefuls and their chances. I'll throw out three names to start it.
Jeff Norman, who actuallly had two final table appearances before 2003, when Moneymaker gave poker a new image. From hand analyzation of some of his hands, I certainly think he has chinks in the armor, but an experienced player getting good breaks, could certainly run away from the field as the dead money continues to fight on.
Ted Forrest remains with 200k, a prime candidate for a victory. A WSOP veteran and cash game specialist, Ted possesses a unique style and great instincts, with a long history of catching cards at opportune times.
The beauty of large field tournaments, though, is that in 24 hours, the top 10 could all be bumped outside the top-thirty spots or even broke.
Huck Seed is still in the mix as well, but I don't know how Huck fares against weaker players. Huck is an enigmatic force, who either plays A-level poker or busts on very poorly-played hands.
There's three names to watch, feel free to chime in with a darkhorse, a pro, or a complete unknown. Hopefully I haven't sealed anyone's fate with a kiss of death, since I dropped their names. |

quote form worldseriesofpoker.com
"Three of the top four in chips: Gus Hansen, Sorel "Imper1um" Mizzi, and Rain Khan. Imper1um has just been moved to Hansen and Khan's table. That fits anyone's definition of "Sick". Especially the definition likely given by the other six players at that table. Gus Hansen has millions in tournament and cash-game winnings, took down the Aussie Millions, and plays in the highest-stakes online cash games. Imper1um has been ranked #1 by online poker sites for his incredible online tournament feats. Rain Khan is the dark horse with a name that sounds like he belongs in "Mortal Kombat". Keep checking for more updates, as this promises to be a clash of titans." |

Chips: 2,456 | | | Re: ME Thread *Remaining Players* (100% Funhouse of Spoilers) The question was could these three stacks avoid each other, or would someone go broke? Here's how you get to 400,000 in chips---
source: worldseriesofpoker.com
"A player in middle position raises to 2,300 and a player next to him reraises to 7,300. The button calls and Sorel "Imper1um" Mizzi in the small blind makes it 32,500. Only the button calls. On the flop, the button moves in with 10-10 and Mizzi calls with A-A. He busts the player and moves back up to 410,000."
MP raise/MP2 second raise/Button call/SB third raise/OTB call
when you flat-call three raises with TT, you are an idiot.
when you flat-call three raises with TT and shove in on a K-high flop, you're an idiot. |
