| Re: ESPN Now...Widescreen? yeah, they had it set up for HD mode from ESPN... it's the first year for WSOP HD...
BTW, anyone thinking about getting the ME on PPV, I highly recommend it.... it's nice to railbird 100% of the action, without hole cams... I had 20hours on my TIVO until about four weeks ago and watched it about 4 times... I only deleted it to make room for this years PPV coverage... and then watching it compared to the ESPN coverage w/ the hole cams is very informative...
Allen Cunningham made some sick laydowns, stole some serious pots, and then basically just went card dead... but he played some really good poker... and Jaime Gold was great at picking up dead money, putting on pressure, and basically bullying his way to the bracelet... while watching the live coverage I was frustrated at how passive everyone was against Gold, and letting the ESPN cut episode fill in the blanks, you can see where they just played bad against him... everyone else except cunningham was playing not to lose... there were times where they let Gold off his bluffs by just calling down pots, instead of trying to pick up the extra bets by re-raising... a couple hands Wasika and Lee should've taken their time to think through more, and been able to pop Gold's bets with thier strong holdings -- but instead they played passive "just in case he got there"... I don't think Wasicka would let that happen again. |
