I watched the Final table of the 06 WSOP again and it is just ridiculous.... knock 2 players out gettin QQ against JJ... and the best note was at the second time he said (opponent was short stack) "yeah! I trapped him!"
I guess that tells everything.
Trappin.... omg
Than flopping setsleft and right.
Knocked another player out with his JJ against a kids 99...
Serious question:
How can you loose with such luck?
Even a young monkey in diapers would have won this thing.
Cunningham deserved that bracelett so much.
Next one:
Wasicka KT Gold AK
Flop: KQ2
Wasicka bets, Gold raises, Wasicka all in, Gold calls
Gold walks over to Chen saying "I gonna trap'em all" Where for heavens sake did he trap him?
the turn brings the T for Wasicka, Gold almost starts cyring and says "I can't play any better than that!"
And I guess that was the only time he said something correct about his game even if he meant it in a different way.
What was a great play there? Heads up both flopping top pair and he had the better kicker.. Can anybody see a genius play there?

First of all: Not all hands are shown on TV. They show only the hands when there is action. Its easy to say he only flopped sets when you only see the premium hands.
There is no doubt he had luck, but then:
How are you gonna survive a 8000+ field without luck? Impossible. He played his own game. Talking the players into his hands.
IMO he played well & deserved the title & money.

Sure you need luck to win, but he wouldn't loose at all.
Somebody had a straight, he had a FH.
With these cards anybody would have one.
And even today nobody out there respects him for his poker skills. ANd I'm pretty confident he will never win a tournament again.
Just watch the comments from the other final 27 players on him:
"Luck"
"Lucky"
"He had a sick run of cards so far"
"When Cunningham, Gold and me will be the last three, I'm sure Gold will lbe busted first"
I don't think he talked them in that much, when you get such good cards over and over again, people gotta think you'd be bluffing at some point.
He was luckier than lucky, he plays like a tool and will never repeat. He will never win another tournament with his "style", unless they surgically implant a golden horseshoe up his a$$ again.
Here's hoping he fades into oblivion and is never heard from again.
