So I was sitting on my couch the other day admiring my Rounders' DVD, which showcase Poker on TV and in Movies, and began to wonder who else collects DVDs.
So I would like to encourage people here to post their DVD collections and maybe we can even get a CTflix thing going someday.

My DVD collection is pretty small compared to my bud's, but I'm around 175 DVD's or so. To lazy to post them all...I wonder if IMDB still has my list on my account from last year.....
We go to Best Buy every new release day (Tuesday) DVD's are cheapest that day, and sometimes you get some cool extras.
I own about 3/4 of the ones listed by gwilkx (major exception chris rock and friends) and about 3-4 times more.
I have just about every war, action, or thriller that I would care to watch up to about 2-3 years ago. Mix in every episode available of most animated shows on fox, and arrested development and I have a ton of DVDs.
DVDs was my thing prior to poker and I spent way too much money on them, but they are nice to have for deployments or long trips. Just do NETFLIX for the wife now since I really don't watch much TV anymore.
Not too many here. I'm very selective about what I want to have on hand (I have a 550 sq.ft. guesthouse... so not much room). Here's what I've got:
2001 A Space Odyssey
The Abyss
The Adventures of Pete and Pete (The first two seasons. I wish Paramount would just release the last season.... grr.)
Animaniacs (the first two releases... great stuff)
Apollo 13
Close Encounters of the Third Kind (scared the crap out of me when I was a kid)
Contact
Dr. Strangelove or How I Stopped Worrying and Learned to Love the Bomb
Gargoyles (the first two releases. Again, I wish Disney woudl just release the last part.... grr!)
The Great Escape
Monty Python and the Holy Grail
The Pink Panther - The Complete Cartoon Collection
Pinky and the Brain (the first two releases)
Powers of Ten (the 9 minute short film that had a formative effect on my youth and likely led to me becoming an astronomer)
The Princess Bride (one of the greatest movies EVER!)
Red Dwarf (all 8 seasons)
The Right Stuff
Rounders
Tron
Finally, everything that has been released by Spacecraft Films. Nearly as expensive a habit as Chiptalk....
Yeah, pretty eclectic. My personal philosophy is if I don't go back and re-watch at least once a year (and preferably a couple) then I have no business having it on hand. That said... it's time for a re-watch of Tron.
My friend started www.iheartmovies.net it lewts you keep track of your collection, lets you see what movies of yours are borrowed out and so on. If you want to use it and your movie isnt listed, just email them and they will add it. It's a little hard to figure out, but very nice.
