FIOS is absolutely fantastic! I would NEVER consider going back. The high speed internet is what it advertizes it to be, unlike comcast's shared broadband. You get the entire bandwidth you pay for with FIOS. I got just the 5meg (instead of the standard 15meg they want you to get), and it is far better than the comcast version. I can actually use my IP phone and surf at the same time and have no degredation in either.
The picture quality is amazing as well. SO much better than comcast.
Every channel is digital, not just those in the 200s and up like on comcast. NESN looks HD on the regular channel, and even better on the HD channel. Channel line up is far better and CHEAPER! I get a few hundred channels, including dozens of movie channels, + HD, +HDTIVOs for the same as I was paying for crappy comcast no tivo service. Had it almost a year now and no outages either.

Nope, this has on demand as well with much better choices too.
Oh and did I mention how much comcast's customer service SUCKS?? I had so many battles with them when they f'd up my bills. Verizon on the other hand was more than accomodating giving me a free month because they had to postpone my install for a couple of days because of a scheduling conflict. And they gave me retroactive credit for a package I cancelled that didn't get cancelled right away. No fighting needed, just explained it and they did it. That's what I expect from a service provider.
