interesting story,I was playing at the orleans on my last trip to vegas(st pats weekend) one of the dealers for my table started to tell us about a movie he is in and it is this one,described the scene and everything I wont give up the details about the movie but he told us to bet our friends on the outcome of the biggest hand of the movie,he told us the whole breakdown of the hand and the outcome,one thing I didnt like about the guy though is he trashed talked farha saying he gave him a tip but took it back when the dealer made some stupid comment overall pretty cool story though
I saw a preview for this recently.. and its weird cause I thought this movie came out a long time ago cause I heard about it soo long ago that I thought it had already played already. Interesting story, but i'd rather have someone else as the lead instead of barrymore. I don't know why.
When I was in vegas the 1st weekend in March I was playing in a sit&go at the Plaza and this older guy is next to me and he tells me about this movie that he was in and how cool it was to meet/work with DeNiro, Jean Smart, John "World" Hennigan, etc. I'm thinking what a pile of BS. Then he whips out a cast photo and there he is, gathered around the table you see in the ad all the actors in the movie. Pretty wild. He was a friendly guy, almost sorry I busted him out of the S&G.
I've only seen the commercials twice and wasn't paying tmuch attention. Is the guy's name "Huck". Interesting choice if it is. Does Huck Seed get a royalty?
Looks like two different stories. Father vs Son conflic t at the WSOP, and Boy meets Girl who gets taken for all her money by gamboooling boyfriend. The trailer has been redone several times, each time it looks more and more of a chick flick than poker movie.
I'll wait until the reviews come out before dropping $8 on this.
