They managed to go the first 8 weeks of the year showing only one week of reruns, airing 7 of the 10 games they filmed back in December in the process.
Since then, there's only been ONE more week of new episodes, with SIX weeks of reruns! (That counts this week AND next, which are both reruns again).
The final 2 of the initial 10 December games won't air until April 16-21 and May 14-19!
What clown is running NBC? The first 4 weeks will all be rerun TWICE before we get to the 11th through 13th games!
I was wondering what the heck was going on! I went to pokerafterdark.com on Monday afternoon and was excited to see the section titled "This Week's Players" because from that it looks like a new week! I got home from work yesterday, checked the Tivo list and no PAD to be found! (I have it set to only record first runs because it hasn't been running long enough to actually enjoy the reruns yet.) I went to nbcsports.com/poker and it lists this week as a rerun. Then I went back to PAD's site to make sure I wasn't just seeing things yesterday and it does say that this week's players are all women. According to NBC's site, Ladies Week doesn't start until early May.
I don't have cable, so NBC broadcasts is all I can get. This Sunday is some heads up championship tho:
"First-round coverage of the third annual head-to-head, single-elimination tournament in Las Vegas. Matches include Don Cheadle vs. Phil Ivey; and Gabe Kaplan vs. Todd Brunson."
I have to admit that I am happy to give my TIVO a break. I don't know how you guys watch so much poker.
At the moment the only thing on my Tivo poker related is Mansion Poker. It has been painful to watch. At least I'll be able to watch the WPT tomorrow (O.T. then sleep, work...blah blah, blah).
