Chips: 3,424 | | | HSP - Season 3 - Week 9 I've been waiting for this particular episode for 9 weeks now. I know and play cards with one of the players in tonight's show, which I think he going to fill next weeks show as well.
Dan Z. They put him in as an "amature" however he's all about solid. He sold his investment company a few years ago and has been pretty hard core on the poker trail.
He lives in Sacramento, Ca. and hosts / plays a high(er) stakes game in the area and plays in a local room which I frequent and sit in the game with him. ($10/20 NL)
Lot of fun to see him sitting in the game with the rest of the grinders. Holding his own too! |

Quads, is it the guy you've played with that loans Matusow 100k? Pretty scary move. Matusow is a scumbag.

Chips: 3,424 | | | Re: HSP - Season 3 - Week 9 I need to go back and watch it again.
Problem was that I totally spaced on it until about 40 minutes into the show and realized DOH!! Dan is in this one.
So, getting ready to grab another cup of coffee and watch / pay attention to it. |

Anybody else constantly impressed by how well Antonio plays? I've seen him on HSP, Pokersuperstars, WSOP shows, WPT shows, etc, and I rarely see him make a mistake. He occasionally makes small mistakes, but he is sooooo solid and makes great bluffs, big calls, and really good laydowns. I have to say that I am more consistently impressed with his play than just about anyone I see on TV. |

The more I watch him play, the more I realize he is the real deal, and one of the best players out there today. His play on HSP is usually miles above anyone elses, and he seems to always have his money in good. He's had some bad luck on that show though. Quote:

He is great to watch, and I feel like he personally has improved my live game a ton. It is very unusual that he does so bad in all the big deep stack tournaments. Far be it for me to make this judgement but maybe he is a victim to playing down to his competition (Thats what it seems like). He always plays lights out against good players on HSP, Poker Superstars, PAD, etc. But he seems to do VERY (I don't believe he's made Day 2 in a long while) poorly against amateurs... kinda like the opposite of Phil Hellmuth, he's great against bad players and bad against great players. | | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
