I think people are friends at LA card rooms if they don't try to cut each other with bottles. Sort of a different definition than the rest of us have.

I'm surprised Gordon seems to be letting him off for "apologizing". Screw that d-bag.

oh man Gold is annoying...They keep playing the last three or four episodes over and over again on ESPN2...I want to watch poker, but I can't handle watching Jamie Gold!

I have the same feeling! I flip it onto ESPN2 all excited that WSOP is on and I have something to watch for the moment..then see the same episode over and over and over again..

Yeah, drives me nuts! I wish the travel channel played more old WPT events. I could use a lot more USPC on ESPN as well!

Once the full event is televised, they show the USPC a lot more. I love looking at those chips, mmmmmm hot stamped solids.

I thought Travel Channel usually aired WPT/PPT events on Saturday nights, and was a little disappointed to find that there wasn't one on today. They did have the Shooting Star tournament on this morning though.

Sorry to stray from the topic! Gold certainly did a lot of immoral things throughout the course of that tournament, and I think it's all coming back to him. On the other hand, it's good to see that Paul Wasicka is turning into a pretty good player. Michael Binger and his brother Nick aren't doing too terribly either.

Yeah those were the "real" players...unlike gold who thinks its a swell idea to call down 5-2 offsuit and get rewarded by flopping a straight..remember that hand??ARGGHHH!!!

I agree, Gold's antics at the WSOP were annoying and over the top in my opinion. I know they piece the shots together, but I swear that guy talked as much and said more annoying things than Matusow!

I love how he had the most luck I've ever seen from one person for one week, then gets beat once when he was ahead in the hand and goes whining and complaining to Chan! Buy the way, what is Chan thinking backing this guy?!

Oh, I wish I could forget that hand! That was one of the more frustrating moments in the entire WSOP in my opinion.

I was just realizing that there was another moment in the final table when Gold sucked out on the turn I believe, to knock out Binger maybe? All I know is it was a $26 million pot, and that could have changed the entire outcome of the tourney, but he called a fairly large all in with a straight draw!

Maybe he was priced in to call, I don't remember though. I just remember it seemed like another annoying situation he got lucky at!
