Re: Poker After Dark - RFID used for the first time

first episode just aired

looks like they're just using hole cams for now

show is pretty boring if you ask me.. commentary is abysmal

it's a tourney yet they have wads of cash ala high stakes poker

i cant wait to see annie duke donk off her cash though

Re: Poker After Dark - RFID used for the first time

Without giving away anything material, the talk about CBS being the #1 network as they're playing on NBC...classic.

Sheikhan:"Are you, are you guys really out of line or what...here, here you are on NBC talking about CBS"

Helmuth: "You think this is gonna make the cut sucker...my God, why don't you think before you say something"

Commentator:"It just did Phil"

LOL!!!

Re: Poker After Dark week one: discussion

i like it. i really have a hard time stomaching annie, and phil's over the top for sure. but unfolding a single table over 5 hours is good stuff. and the play is real...it's amazing how nitty it is sometimes.

did you see huck seed pick up AJs in second position and not open? wtf?

trying to play this in the background at work while I do other stuff, but it is too damn choppy. anyone know of a way to make these streaming flash videos play smoothly on somewhat behind the times machine (my computer at work kinda sucks)?

Re: Poker After Dark week one: discussion

I like the concept and the time slot. I am excited about it. As for Huck Seed, is there a reason nobody knows anything about him and he always looks like somebody just kicked his dog? Did he kill a man down south once? Escaped Swiss con? What's with him?

he's mostly stoned out of his gourd, i'd guess. he's not such a mystery...won the big one in 96 (?), was really good friends with hellmuth. hellmuth says they're not friends anymore b/c huck got too much into the "vegas lifestyle," my guess is that it's b/c phil's such an amazing douchebag. he seems to be a big prop bet guy. once made a big bet he could float in the ocean for 24 hours or some such nonsense...the details escape me. he golfs for big money with the boys (as referred to last night). i also have seen him play in the mid-range sng's quite a bit at FTP lately.

that's what i know. now i'm checking wiki for anything else interesting...eh, not much else.
