I actually saw the PPL on TV last weekend and I immediately enjoyed it a lot more than the WPT; for one, the majority of the players were well known pros and the playing that was shown seemed more true. Not as much editing showing only outrageous bluffs and massive suckouts, they would stay at one table for many hands and the commentating was IMHO better.
EDIT: My bad, I was referring to the PPT, which is VERY different than the PPL, something I neglected to notice before I posted. After reading the link posted by Catfish, I think this is a great idea and very much like our own CT teams thing. Team play rules!
