| Re: PPT Bellagio Final Table it isn't a bad question. I actually have a theory that it has to do with table mic they use.
if you don't want to read a very long complaint about how much this episode disappointed me, then look away, and don't read the following.
tight player raises, it's 5-handed. Dan Heimiller flat-calls for about 1/4th of his stack. Someone with tivo can give us the exact figure.
He has AQ, he has one play--- all-in, not a call to invite in the big stack.
He flat-calls and so does the chip leader, Markholt. flop comes Q 3 x, he checks it again. he slow-plays top pair. ugh...he has one play, once again, all-in.
turn is a 4, Markholt attempts to steal with 76o. Heimiller takes an eternity to move all-in. arggggghhhhhhhhhh!!!!
you have top pair and top kicker, you are short-stacked...he's going to call or fold, your insanely stupid acting job is not going to affect his action. he already knows what he's going to do. he's going to call or fold and he knows already where he stands in the hand, just get on with it, you stupid donk.
Markholt calls with his gut-shot, feeling obligated and I would've called as well with his stack. it was a very small reraise of about 39k.
5 on the river for a board of Q 3 x 4 5, giving the 9% draw the weiner.
everything Heimiller did in this hand infuriated me.
1-his flat-call pre-flop for a large percentage of his stack, when a reraise could've isolated and possibly won the hand pre-flop against a small pair, like 66 or 55.
2-the slow-play on the flop in a 3-way pot.
3-the insanely idiotic acting job on the turn.
Dan Heimiller's shouting and celebrations irritated me, when I first saw them. Then I saw him celebrate against Chip Reese, I was really irritated. Then, I had to sit and watch him make stupid play after stupid play while better players were out, and now I strongly dislike him.
Now, Doyle....I really was disappointed in Doyle's play on the hand where he paired his 10 with 10-9 in the hole. Markholt bluffed after Doyle checked...it was something like 10-7-x, I personally think you should check-raise or lead on that flop. I didn't like his flat-call. I think he should've pushed, and I would say that without seeing the results. A seven came on the turn, and he convinced himself he was against a better 10 or three 7's, so he reluctantly folded. That hand could've propelled him to victory. I really think he had to go with that hand there and hope it was good. Shortly after, he was forced to gamble with an OE draw and it missed.
I thought tonight would be possibly the best PPT final table yet, but instead it was a big disappointment. I was also really irritated with Markholt's lagging on every hand. You have 7-8 suited, and it's 3-handed, call and let's see a flop. Quit dragging and make the call. His pauses, before every single decision, were really bugging me. |
