I found this article recently, which describes one of the dumbest movies I've ever heard of. It's hard to imagine a more ridiculous plot.
"The film will tell the story of a talented 15-year-old who qualifies for a $10 million poker tournament at a major Las Vegas hotel, and then convinces his mother to play in his stead. This is blatently promoting underage gambling...Next Congress will sneak a clause into the back of a highly important bill so they can ban movies about poker... (Soon even rounders might be illegal to watch  |

I liked this part best...
The untitled project will be executive produced by Garry Marshall ("Frankie and Johnny," "Happy Days") and Hector Elizondo ("Pretty Woman," "Batman," "Beverly Hills Cop III") and will co-star Elizondo as " a casino manager with a heart."
Doesn't EVERY casino in Vegas have a manager like this?

What I LOVE about this is that it perpetuates the idea that poker is all about luck and even a kid, with enough luck, can make it to a final table (I know, sounds like Jamie Gold).
But this is SO good for the game...more fish. Just as long as they are of age.... |
